During the 9th OSMA General Assembly in Livingstone, Zambia, the Guinean Delegation to OSMA reaffirmed its resolve to host the 2nd CAMBASKET come November 2026 In the Capital city of Conakry.In a relentless quest to give OSMA more visibility around the continent and beyond, the OSMA President and CISM Vice-President for Africa, Major General MAIKANO Abdullahi, was on a working visit to Conakry, the capital of the Republic of Guinea. This follows the working visit he paid to Equatorial Guinea, where he had fruitful talks with the High Military Authorities in view of organising the next CAMFOOT in 2026.
This time around, the African Military Basketball Championship (CAMBASKET) was top on the agenda as per talks with the Chief of Army Staff of the Republic of Guinea . This was later confirmed during the 9th OSMA General Assembly. Invitations will soon be sent to all OSMA delegations for a massive participation in this second edition so that once more the ideals “Friendship through Sports” may prevail.
