The Kingdom of Morocco had the honour of hosting the 6th edition of the African Military Boxing Championship, from June 14 to 22, 2025, in Rabat, at the Royal Armed Forces Sports Centre.As part of efforts to strengthen regional military cooperation and consolidate fraternal ties among African armies, the Kingdom of Morocco had the honour of hosting the 6th edition of the African Military Boxing Championship, from June 14 to 22, 2025, in Rabat, at the Royal Armed Forces Sports Center. Held under the aegis of the Organisation of Military Sport in Africa (OSMA)and organized under the direct supervision of the Royal Armed Forces of Morocco, this continental competition brought together military athletes from various African countries, who came to share more than just a competitive spirit: shared values of unity, discipline, brotherhood, and fair play. This championship is part of Morocco's ongoing commitment to African integration and inter-army dialogue, placing sport at the service of peace, stability, and mutual respect. It also reflects the Kingdom's willingness under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the
General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, to actively contribute to the
development of a
united and harmonious African space.Beyond the purely sporting dimension, this edition served as a human and
cultural crossroads, blending athletic performance, the exchange of
military experience,
and displays of respect and friendship among delegations. It helped
promote both
physical and mental excellence while contributing to the influence of
African
military sports diplomacy. At the
end of this flamboyant edition, Morocco emerged as the overall champion with Gold
medals in all categories, Nigeria and Tanzania followed closely.
