The President of the Organisation of Military Sport in Africa (OSMA) continues his series of high-level working visits to military and civilian authorities across the continent. His latest stop is in N'Djamena, where he is scheduled to meet with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Minister of Defence of Chad.

This visit follows shortly after a successful mission to Accra, where he engaged with senior military authorities on matters relating to the development of military sport in Africa.

During his stay in N’Djamena, the OSMA President—who also serves as Vice-President of the International Military Sports Council for Africa—Major General Maikano Abdullahi, accompanied by the OSMA Secretary General, Pierre Djendola, will hold strategic discussions with Chadian authorities. Key topics will include the potential hosting of the OSMA Sahel Games in the coming year, as well as Chad’s participation in the upcoming African Military Games in Abuja in 2024.

Following this visit, the OSMA delegation will travel to Abuja later this week to continue preparations for the 2nd African Military Games. This will include an infrastructure inspection visit scheduled for late September, aimed at ensuring readiness ahead of the Games in November.
